Xmas House Tour

Today our home was part of a christmas house tour in our neighborhood for charity.  These are a few pics of our house. It was alot of work but so worth it.  We had a great turnout considering the freezing drizzle and flurries.  I heard they sold about 230 tickets.  Thanks for looking and have a wonderful holiday season.  Stay warm!!

september recap

I am looking forward to some cooler weather in October.  Here in the mid-west we had a few cooler days in September but still high humidity. This is a recap of my September outfits.  A few from Santa Fe and a few from back home.  Enjoy your day where ever you are and whatever weather you endure!

work or play

I wore this outfit to work the other day.  The heel height is perfect. And comfortable. Of course because they are Cole Haan. Then I wore this out to a casual dinner on a friday night.

jacket - CAbi, jeans - JCrew, shoes - Cole Haan, clutch - Mark & Graham, necklace - JCrew

what goes around comes around

This leather shell was purchased I think in the early 90's.  And leather is back in a big way!  It's a little cropped, but you are seeing cropped tops again too! (Granted on girls about 20 years younger than me.) Hence, the highwaisted denim!!

vintage leather shell; denim- JBrand; shoes- Cole haan; minaudiere- JCrew;  cuff- Anna Beck; bangles - Stella & Dot;  ring - my grandmother's first engagement ring from the 1920's

santa fe leftover

This is one of the outfits I didn't get a chance to wear while we were in Santa Fe. Like always, I brought more clothes than needed. The hat I got while in Milan, Italy. The boots are new Frye Phillip boots.  The dress was a gift a long time ago.  ( I don't believe in the "purge if you haven't wore an item in a year.") The necklace was purchased at the Tesuque Flea Market in Santa Fe.  At one time it was the #1 flea market in the country. I'm glad to be back home to see family, but wish I was back in SF.

break of dawn

This morning in Santa Fe I got up early. (who's kidding, I always get up early) This time I was even earlier than the french pastry shop at La Fonda Hotel. I don't care what time it is, it is always nice walking in the downtown Plaza especially when you know any minute you are going to get the best chocolate croissant EVER!

while in santa fe

First and foremost you have to drive into New Mexico and look at the landscape.  It's incredible!! (and this was taken with my iphone in the car while we were driving!) Then you must go to Canyon Road.  It's the 3rd largest art districts in the United States.  Get your coffee and get shopping.  The boutiques are just as wonderful as the art.  Any kind of leather goods... belts, bags, boots etc!  Jewelry galory! Nathalie's is one of my favorites. Vintage bags, turquoise jewelry and home decor.
